Where did you grow up? What was it like?
For the first 13 years of my life, I grew up on an 80 acre farm with my parents, three sisters, and two brothers. We had a variety of farm animals which we managed to individually name. This made for some very unpleasant days for my father. I think growing up on a farm gives way to learning much about life and instills common sense; as well as a good work ethic in working as a family to complete the daily chores, picking rock, bailing hay and weeding endless gardens. This was a wonderful time in my life.

Why do you live in the Brainerd Lakes Area? What do you like most about it?
I moved to the Brainerd Lakes Area in 2008. The Brainerd area is very appealing to me with the many lakes, activities, and other interests. It has a small town atmosphere with the opportunity to meet the many visitors to our communities throughout the summer.

What is your favorite lake? Why?
If I had to pick a lake, it would be White Sand Lake in Baxter. I just think it is really pretty and serene and right on the edge of our community.

What is your favorite part of working in Real Estate?
My favorite part of working in real estate is seeing the excitement from my clients the moment they realize they are going to be able to move into the perfect home. But I like all parts of real estate - meeting new people, showing homes, writing contracts, negotiating on behalf of my clients, and bringing everything together for the closing.

What is the most unusual thing you have encountered while working in Real Estate?
I was representing a couple as a buyer's broker in purchasing a new home in the country. On the morning of closing, with the moving truck waiting to unload, the title company called to tell me that the seller's agent had not arranged for the septic system to be certified with the county. Through my resources, I contacted a septic system inspector and managed to have him meet me at the property for the inspection. The home closed for my buyer's later the same day. This is just one example of my devotion to clients in meeting their goals of home ownership.

Why should someone choose you as their real estate agent?
I truly advocate for my clients in meeting their expectations, their needs, and their best interest in any real estate transaction. I continually study real estate laws and changes in the law. I am a very detail oriented person. I am very knowledgeable about the Brainerd Lakes area and have specialized in residential home sales. I have enjoyed taking the time to learn how homes are constructed, from excavating the basement on up - and will put my knowledge to work on your behalf.
