Where did you grow up? What was it like?
I grew up in Brooklyn Center on 62nd Avenue, where I actually walked to Garden City grade school. After graduating from Park Center High School, I attended North Suburban Area Vocational Technical Center and became a Certified, Registered Dental Assistant. It was such a great community that my husband and I moved back to Brooklyn Center and raised our 3 daughters directly across the street from where I grew up until we moved to Crosslake in 1990.

Why do you live in the Brainerd Lakes Area? What do you like most about it?
My family always dreamed about moving "up north" to the lake country, where we camped almost every weekend. Now that we have lived here for over 20 years, the best part about it is small town living in the midst of lakes and pines. Our children graduated from Pequot Lakes High School and they feel strongly about living and raising their own children here.

What is your favorite lake? Why?
My favorite lake is Velvet Lake because that is where we have made our home since we moved north. It is a smaller lake near the town of Crosslake. Over half of the lake is undeveloped and that fits the vision of nature and serenity that we pictured for ourselves so long ago.

What is your favorite part of working in Real Estate?
I am a people person and I also enjoy the challenges of real estate - especially in today's market. My goal is to bring a happy Buyer and a happy Seller to the closing table.

What is the most unusual thing you have encountered while working in Real Estate?
Every sale is unique but after 12 years of experience, I have found that no two transactions are alike. As Realtors we have all had our share of quirky stories to tell, and I try to look at the humor in each experience and have fun with it!

Why should someone choose you as their real estate agent?
Why should someone choose me? Because if you're my buyer or seller I will investigate the property until I know everything about it. That's why my name is SUELOCK - your Homes Detective.
